Situation Analysis
Workshop Details
Workshop Overview
This workshop builds on the introductory situation analysis session by helping
participants deepen their analysis of complex program contexts. Over two hours,
participants will explore multiple ways to examine interconnections, assumptions,
and stakeholder dynamics, and identify key leverage points. Through guided,
hands-on exercises, the session focuses on turning contextual insights into clearer
problem framing, stronger Theory of Change, and more informed program
decisions.
Workshop Objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Apply a range of situation analysis tools to examine complex program contexts.
- Compare and select appropriate tools based on the nature of the problem, data available, and stage of program design.
- Use advanced tools to surface interconnections, assumptions, and leverage points within a context.
- Synthesize insights from multiple tools to strengthen problem framing, Theory of Change, and strategic program decisions.
